Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering
Overview
Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department was established in the year 1995. The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of Mohamed Sathak Engineering College is set in lush greenery. Drawing upon MSEC’s tradition of teaching excellence, the Department of EEE works closely together in an open, collegial atmosphere. The department has well qualified and experienced faculty with specializations in various branches of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, such as Power Systems Engineering, Power Electronics and Drives, Energy Engineering, Applied Electronics etc.,
The Department is maintaining its superior position with respect to the pass percentage of Anna University, Chennai in Madurai zone. The Department has several laboratories as per the requirements of Anna University. The laboratories are fully equipped with latest equipment. The labs are: Power System simulation Laboratory, Power Electronics Laboratory, Electrical Machines Laboratory (AC Machines and DC Machines), Control System Laboratory, Measurements and Instrumentation Laboratory, Microprocessor and Microcontroller Laboratory, Electrical Circuits Laboratory etc.
The department has been producing Electrical and Electronics Engineers from 1995 onwards and so the Alumni are well placed across the nation / world and hence outgoing students are very much benefitted in all aspects for assistance and placement. This department is a identical twin department offering B.E Electrical Engineering from year of 1995 and M.E. Power Systems Engineering from year of 2012.
Our Mission is to educate students from all over India, including those from the local and rural areas, so that they become enlightened individuals, improving the living standards of their families, industry and society. We provide individual attention and world class quality of education. The Department has been accredited by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council). The EEE Department has been organizing many symposium, guest lectures and the IEI, ISTE Chapter. The Department has well equipped facilities like Standard labs and a Seminar hall.
